Ender's Game

Here's another book suggestion from the one and only Ms. Hart:

ENDER'S GAME
This novel is one of my favorite sci-fi titles.  It’s an exciting adventure that has plenty of twists and turns surrounding the titular character, Ender.  You find yourself connecting to Ender and drawn to discover what lays ahead. The characters are well-developed and interesting, and you’ll want to continue the series to find out what happens next for them.  I have reread this book, and the rest of the series, since I first encountered it my junior year of high school, and I think of it quite fondly.

  1. Over the summer I took your advice and also read Ender's Game. I enjoy some sci-fi books because they add a new twist to already interesting non-stop adventure and action books. This book has a great concept set in the future where they are fighting for all of human kind. Another interesting change in this futuristic society is how everyone relies on kids to save the world from aliens. This novel puts kids and adults on a way more equal basis making this book a lot more interesting. Also I enjoy sci-fi titles like these because of my favorite series Michael Vey by Richard Paul Evans. It integrates the idea of giving people special electric powers along with great character development throughout the series. With a sci-fi book you should always stay alert because anything could happen which I really like in an compelling story.

  3. I have never read the book Ender's game but I have watched the movie and I really liked it. I'll probably read it during the school year. The way you described this book it made it sound more interesting then the movie. Also you said that this book is in a series, I never knew that and I'll probably read the other books to.

  4. Ender’s Game is also one of my favorite sci-fi titles. I have read the book a few years ago and I found it intriguing enough to keep reading over and over. The character development is creative which made it easy to empathize and connect with the characters. I was hyped when the movie came out and even though there are differences from the book, it was still nice to see a theatrical representation of it. Overall, Card wrote a very well written novel that is powerful from the beginning to the end.

  5. This is one of my favorite science fiction books that I have ever read as I enjoyed the plot and seeing ended develop as a warrior and a character. I enjoyed reading this book and liked the parts where they battled. The developement of the story is the reason it is such a good read that will cause you to not want to stop reading.

  8. Enders Game is one of my top 3 science fiction books of all time. The whole premise of relying on kids to fight aliens for them, is amazing itself but how its executed should really be praised. How Orson sets up the characters and the training of the kids, especially the protagonist, is really entertaining to read about.

  9. Enders Game really balances the art of knowing your opponents, manipulation and ethical choices of right and wrong. After reading Enders Game, I watched the movie and although I thought it was ok it definitely wasnt as good as the book. Though, I'm very excited to see what other books Orson has to offer.
