Beach Reads

I had a really fun discussion today about what exactly makes a great book to take on the beach.  Certainly, in this regard, not all books are created equal.  For me, high interest is best because there is usually so much going on, I can get easily distracted from a book that does not keep my attention.  Do you have a book that is a great beach read?  Share the title and explain why it works for you.

  1. A book for me that was a great a book read is the Hobbit. It was a good book read where times were always filled with the tales of mythical beats and what not. J.R.R Tolkien does a good job through out his writing to describe his characters and monsters. He makes you feel connected and like you never want to leave their side. This a throat wrenching read with every unexpected turn the author throws in this novel you'll always be left wondering what will Bilbo do next.
